If your human by now you will be starting to get super annoyed with your hair, it’s too long, dry ends snd it’s in desperate need of some TLC. You may have even shortlisted possible haircuts you want and even taken it one step further and searched YouTube and think to yourself, yeah you got this it’s going to be easy.
Some things are better left to professionals but we also know that when the hair touches your ears it’s just down right annoying.
Do whatever makes you happy, do whatever brings you peace on that day snd don’t think twice. Life is far too short for regrets just do it.
So long story short, if your hair is annoying you, you have a wifi connection, a sharp pair of scissors and a burning desire to cut your hair just do it!
It’s not uncommon for all of us to try and save money! It’s normal and in fact a good thing, but there is a time and place for everything.
YouTube and the internet is an incredible source of information and we can learn some great skills if we want but there are some things that are simply not DIY friendly. For a lot of people around the world left with no options a DIY haircut wasn’t a choice it simply had to be done snd that’s fine.
It’s not always ( in fact rarely ) going to turn out as you expected because years of training can’t be taught in a 10 minute video but at least it will fix what’s annoying you and give you something to do for a bit!
Now when it comes to color, it’s a lot more complex and easy to end up with a total disaster! Years of training, understanding color and knowing the underlying pigments in your hair along with the pre existing colors you have had it can go sideways fast!
Fixing something like a haircut is fairly simple and you may just need to go shorter than you want but fixing a color is more complicated so you should possibly leave it to the professionals. Who cares if it’s not fresh, doesn’t matter if there is a few white hairs showing. Wait and get it done in a salon when you feel comfortable to step outside!
It’s been a while since salons were open and unless you were getting a trim the day we closed then it’s about time your hair needed trimming. Hair grows approx 1-1.5 inches per month which means it’s 6 weeks since we were closed so that’s a little over 2 inches since you saw the light of day.
It’s frustrating we know but there are so many things that can go wrong, sure if it’s bothering you that much, go right ahead and do whatever you need too in order to not go insane.
