So you are hanging on to what you color was 5-10 even 15 years ago and people keep noticing the white regrowth every few weeks. It’s not only embarrassing but annoying, like seriously it’s not like I don’t have things you could be spending the time and money on right?!
The longer you color your hair, the chances are the more white hair is appearing underneath it! Colouring your hair doesn’t make it go white, it’s hidden so when you see it growing out against a dark color it looks whiter than you thought.
The darker you color your hair, the more white it appears.
How can you stop this?
Easy answer is you can’t, but you can make it slightly easier by not going so dark, the less contrast against the white the longer you will get before you will have to do it again!
Should you go lighter?
Take your color 1/2 shade lighter at a go over the next 6-12 months and even add in some highlights to break the solidness of the color which will help blend in the white.
