It only seems like a moment ago the term “Influencer” was understood with a fair amount of contempt and yet from a certain group of people with admiration. Whilst the word rolls off the tongue and to some it is almost has a distaste to it and others admiration. We all have to agree that there are certain people that have influence, like it or not and in fact we all have a certain amount of influence with others.
In the true sense i guess we are all influencing each other and thats why its super important to have the right circle around you, you end up morphing into each others personalities if you are not careful which can be good or bad depending on who is in your circle!
Now to be honest there is a lot more that goes into the “designation” or profile of someone that is deemed an influencer than just posting selfies or outfit photos they all have several thing in common one of which is typically beautiful hair, maybe not in a traditional sense but it always seems effortless! Don’t believe us go check out some of the ones you follow then come back!
Here are some of our favourite influencers and their hair!
A lot of time we find people overdoing hair in order to capture the perfect image for a post, when in fact to get the perfect shot a lot of the time requires less effort and less fuss so it looks organic and natural.
If you need help getting a more natural look with your hair then drop in and talk to us, getting it right isn’t hard but a lot of the time just need the confidence to try something new!
This is not even a far stretch from reality in fact we have met some people who will go a full week without washing their hair!
There is all kind of nonsense on the internet about “natural oils” shampoo causes hair loss etc etc it is in fact hard when you then sprinkle that with the tales both your mum and family told you ( with absolutely no rationale or science ) about shampooing your hair!
I guess it’s like saying washing your face causes pimples so don’t do it, after a few days I think most would be washing it!
Imagine even if your not working out, staying in a controlled environment but 4 days of dust, dirt, perspiration, oils and smells all sitting on your scalp!
Washing your hair daily is ok, every second day is also ok, using a clarifying shampoo if needed and then a sulfate free shampoo alternating is good. When you see hair come out, will using be when you touch your hair, no your fingers don’t cause hair fall!
10% of your hair is replacing itself ( dying or falling out, dont worry it’s normal ) so when you wash it there will be some hair appearing in your hands, it wasn’t the shampoo it was most likely already out just stuck amoungst the other hair!
So with pollution the way it is and life being busy, the best advice is most likely get a good routine and haircut that you can manage and reconsider alternative days for cleansing your scalp and hair!
Being free is such a gift as well as everyone’s right.
The power to choose what you want to eat, the clothes you wear, religion, music, person you love, where you live, where you go, who you see, who you talk to, what you do for work, where you go on holidays and what you do with your life!
Whilst it’s easy to connect the dots and talk about how to get the freedom from excessive visits to the salon, as we write this it’s really obvious that we are not in fact truly free are we??
So seems like we all want something free, it feels good and in fact it’s almost like a birthright so we thought to share what we are giving away since it seems like an epidemic in the industry!
We have fresh coffee beans, grown in India, roasted locally and freshly ground! You can come in and drink as much as you like, be warned it may have you crawling the walls until 4am if you are one of those people but for us it’s life!
Flat white, cappuccino, latte, expresso or a macchiato we can do it all and it’s free while you are getting your hair done!
Sooner or later if you have long hair, you will get tired of the ends looking thin and wispy and want to have it appear healthier and fuller on the ends, especially when its down and looks more unloved than a street dog!
Well relax we have the solution and its remarkably more simple than you think!!! Holding on to the length just because you want long hair is one thing, having it look good and maintaining the length is another. We know some hairstylists tend to get heavy handed and cut too much off, find someone who doesn’t and stick with them!
Now whilst this is just 2 inches off and we have not cut the layers in this photo, you can see the difference in the look of the overall hair!
Trim it every 6-8 weeks blunt and this is the difference!
Getting the texture right to encourage more curl and the ultimate fullness is the trick, let’s be honest guys are typically a tad lazy when it comes to a haircare routine although that’s changing!
Cutting curly hair can disrupt the curl and by cutting it dry and using our dry texture curl cutting technique it enhances the curl and fullness so you can be the laziest mofo in town but it’s still going to stand tall!
If you have curly hair and live it ( which you should ) come talk to us and find out if we can help you take that beast and have hair that makes the craziest lion jealous 🦁
