We all want to have healthy hair but a lot of you seems to struggle and have a list of reasons why it is hard as long as your arm. It’s fairly easy but we kind of think it’s so easy there will be very few who actually take it as fact but here goes anyway!

- Shampoo and condition daily or every second day, healthy scalp healthy hair
- Don’t over do Color or chemical treatments!
- Don’t over style it, too much heat in tongs or irons will eventually cause damage!

They say it only takes 21 days to break a habit and let’s be honest we all have a few, smoking, drinking, complaining etc etc and more importantly our behaviour to ourselves and others!
I guess I have noticed this more in the last few years and there is no need to be angry at people, in fact it’s proven that when your being treated badly you will never be at your peak, more likely to make stupid mistakes and most likely not learn a thing.
If something isn’t working or if has gone sideways ( which things do sometimes ) stop reacting and get back on track, have a face to face with the people involved and help them see your view and talk through what happened and how it could be different.

It’s fine because it’s in a separate room and your not cutting your hair it’s a blow out, we’ll not really hair sheds so does your skin cells together with the heat and hairdryer your food is going to be covered in body particles. Now imagine doing the same thing in a salon!!

Even if and let’s be perfectly honest ( it’s a huge IF ) you manage to prepare the food clean, the moment it is exposed to the air chances are it’s going to get contaminated.
So before you start thinking about we add a restaurant to our list of services understand we won’t be doing it any time soon. If you want to have your cake and eat it too, don’t order it in a hair salon!
You all wonder what causes hairfall and most of you ( or us I should say ) think at some point in our life that your going bald overnight and there has to be a cure! It’s always advisable to gather solid evidence and research anything you plan on doing before relying on an instagram page of success because you will always find something to support whatever you want to find. Before you decide to shock your system into a weight loss frenzy get some good advice from a doctor or qualified nutritionist! It’s always better to have healthy habbits and be consistent rather trying a quick fix, our bodies are a sensitive eco system and need to be respected like it.
Keep in mind it’s interesting to know that you can also experience increase hair fall in the following situations!
- Changing your diet from unhealthy to healthy
- When you relocate, water conditions dramatically have an effect on hair loss. Relax it will settle.
- Less sleep
- Change of seasons
- Drug use
- After surgery or heavy dosage of antibiotics
- Increase of stress levels like death in family, divorce or a relationship breakup
So before doing anything weigh up your choices, maybe a more slow approach to dieting is more healthy than a quick fix. Hair loss for most people is normal 50-100 hairs a day but remember 50-100 long hairs looks like 3,000 so be realistic and understand washing it doesn’t cause hairfall it’s just when you are most likely to see them all collectively together in one place….. the shower drain!
Follow more positive food blogs, instagram and people and adapt healthy choices and attitude. Be happy with your body and most importantly be healthy.

Well the weather has changed and it’s about to get wet wet wet and those fly always will be sticking all over your face and neck!
Can we stop it totally, the easy answer is no but we can keep it to a minimum with a few easy things you can do yourself!
- When you shampoo, always condition. The more open the cuticle is the more likely it will react to the humidity
- Use a leave in conditioner as well as your regular conditioner
- Don’t brush your hair when it’s dry, it creates static electricity
- Use a satin pillow case, reduces friction and static
- Don’t overstyle your hair and by that we mean the more you use heat the more dehydrated your hair will be. Once a week is ok.
- Whilst it’s the weather that makes us sweat you must remember to shampoo your hair to remove dried up perspiration on your scalp. Daily with a sulfate free shampoo is fine.
Try topknots and headbands this will keep it out of your face and avoid putting it up and down. Put it up and leave it up, the more you play with it the more static you are creating!
Some say it’s only 2 weeks between a good haircut and a bad one, those who truly believe that have not had a truly bad haircut.
