Well thanks to a little help from the Kardashian girls we have seen a influx of braiding on social media which is great considering its summer here right now so its the perfect look to both keep you cool as well as looking hot!
The great thing about braiding is the options, gone are the days when its just a simple braid, the options are only limited to your pinterest search so we thought it best to help you out with some ideas for the weekend in advance!
Or if you feel you want to be a little more gangster then this is perfect!
Your hair looks great for five minutes, and then it goes back to POOF! All you girls with curly hair must be going, story of my life. If you allowed a naturally curly hair chick to rant about her hair problems, their terror stories would probably go longer than the movie Gladiator. You can’t really blame them, it can be be quite a challenge. Especially, when your hair screams the climate report and people can figure of the level of humidity by the size of hair.
Fret not, as frizzy as it can be, people have learnt to embrace their natural curls instead of frying them with hot irons or smoothing them with zillions products. In some cases, the obsession of trying to manage your curls can end up damaging your hair more than doing anything good.
There’s nothing fiercer than curly hair. Some of our favourite celebrities like Lorde, Serayah, Perrie Edwards and Lupita proudly flaunt their born-with-it bouncy hair, and we couldn’t have loved it in any other way. However, it can be a LOVE-HATE relationship, as many curly hair girls don’t feel confident in rocking their natural ‘dos. But with the help of the good stylist, the right cut and easy tricks it is very much achievable to slay it with your natural hair.
Get a diffuser, air drying can become your new BFF, as it is less damaging than a blow dry and much better than waiting hours and hours for your hair to dry. You will find that when you don’t diffuse your curls your hair looks limp and flat, but when you start this tiny habit you will have much more volume.
Repeat after me, DEEP CONDITIONING is the way to go, it can help to control frizz, and reduce breakage and split ends. Your list of hair products should always have; 1. Live in conditioner and cream 2. Hair serums, double check your list every time if you don’t want look like a stranded sheep. Lol Honestly though, there is nothing hotter than a girl who looks confident in her natural curls, time to ditch your flat iron and embrace your natural hair.
When I talk about the 90s, a rush of nostalgia hits our mind; a decade that was ruled by some of the craziest fashion trends, I can’t pick my favourite, there was too many. Maybe it will be pencilled brows with blonde hair but I’m not locking that in because I have too many favourites. Remember, Courtney Love, Drew Barrymore, Gwen Stefani!
When it comes to the weirdest styles of this decade, I find it very hard to decide between fountain head (AKA the famous coconut tree) and porcupine up do’s (the funkier version of a bird’s nest); I think now when we look back, we all would scream “What the hell were you thinking?” Thank god for no Facebook during that time, some of us were lucky enough to have missed out on having the evidence on line.
Which will be that one look of the ‘90s that we just can’t get over? If Winona Ryder’s face just flashed through your mind, I am talking about the iconic babes who slayed pixie cut, and made a cult during the ‘90s. The ’90s were a time for reinvention and experimentation which we all can take a leaf out of and try something new.
