Communication is important in everything we all do, it’s no surprise there but yet sometimes the unspoken look or the actions are exchanged thinking we know what the other is thinking. A lot of time someone will book in for service x and once you meet them the discussion unfolds and in fact the thing they booked in for is the exact opposite to what is needed.
As professional hairdressers, we have to take the time to get that picture or feeling out of the mind of our client and discuss it in a way to get the facts and reality not just do what we are told because a lot of the time it will give you the result you don’t want. Now clearly reading this sounds like hairdressers will be doing whatever they like, well no it’s about a discussion about what you want, what you desire, what hot hair looks like to you, what degree of styling you will do daily, what products you will use, how you will use them and a lot more.
For us it’s never about selling product it’s about making sure you have the right tools in order to re create the same thing at home day in day out, so we both look better!
