It only seems like a moment ago the term “Influencer” was understood with a fair amount of contempt and yet from a certain group of people with admiration. Whilst the word rolls off the tongue and to some it is almost has a distaste to it and others admiration. We all have to agree that there are certain people that have influence, like it or not and in fact we all have a certain amount of influence with others.
In the true sense i guess we are all influencing each other and thats why its super important to have the right circle around you, you end up morphing into each others personalities if you are not careful which can be good or bad depending on who is in your circle!
Now to be honest there is a lot more that goes into the “designation” or profile of someone that is deemed an influencer than just posting selfies or outfit photos they all have several thing in common one of which is typically beautiful hair, maybe not in a traditional sense but it always seems effortless! Don’t believe us go check out some of the ones you follow then come back!
Here are some of our favourite influencers and their hair!
A lot of time we find people overdoing hair in order to capture the perfect image for a post, when in fact to get the perfect shot a lot of the time requires less effort and less fuss so it looks organic and natural.
If you need help getting a more natural look with your hair then drop in and talk to us, getting it right isn’t hard but a lot of the time just need the confidence to try something new!
You think you had your A game on, well at 7pm getting ready you may have but now it’s close to you turning into a pumpkin 🎃 and you all get your phones out for a selfie or 37 or even worse snapchat or Instagram stories.
Close your phone, no one wants or needs to see that level of nasty!
Well recently we were told you could look on “Craig’s list” for one, but honestly we are not going up recomend that option unless you’re a backpacker looking for a free ride and possibly happy with some weirdo driving you through the desert 🌵
It needs to be a relationship that both know what page you are on, the ice has been Brocken and your in a good place. Now given everyone is different and personalities vary how do you find that fast, because you need your blow out done tomorrow night!?
Well here is the quickest way
Or use this checklist
Search on line for a person not a salon in your area who specialises in hair. Google is great but don’t just look at the paid ads!
Look at the salon & persons profile online, Facebook, Instagram etc
Drop them a DM and ask some random question, see if they even reply.
Look on all the leading fashion magazines like Elle, Vogue, Cosmopolitan or Harpers Bazaar to see who they talk about.
Go through the salon website and see if it’s just about money & price or it’s about hair
Ask your friends or complete strangers who does there hair.
At the end of the day the relationship you have will largely determine if your hairstylist “gets you” or is simply telling you to do xyz.
Expectations vs reality is offer a hard thing to match and when it comes to getting the hair exactly right it requires a lot of talk and understanding, to get inside your brain and see what your seeing.
That’s why we always discuss it prior to doing anything else, some say it’s like getting the third degree from your mother after a late night out. We like to call it finding out all the details before we start.
Like ordering a meal when your out, something that sounds amazing turns out to be as basic as the Aunt no one talks too.
Your hair goal is often locked up in your head, the key is most likely in the and room, it’s our job to find it!
With everyone trying to sell everything on line there are some things that “online” will never be able to deliver.
Unless your ordering a wig of course!
Hair is a people’s business and it’s personality driven service based on skill and delivered through the culture of the salon. The reality is a lot of salons in India still think they by opening the doors employing whoever and not investing in training and Developement of the team that success will follow. This could not be further from reality.
If you think that a salon is a salon, drop in and tell us, we are fairly sure you will get it within 5 minutes.
Meanwhile please shop for all your other things on line god knows you need it but it’s always good therapy
In a world in which we all are born thinking we have the right to do or be anything we want and you do! Some things money just can’t buy but there are some things it can too!
There was a doctor, a great doctor, not the best doctor but he was good ok very good. He wasn’t so busy so he advertised offering half price operations, good operations, maybe the best, hard to say but they were good.
Public perception was simple and in fact reality, his skills turns out we’re not the best, in fact not that good even a fair bit less than good sadly. His work needed to be discounted, after all it’s a 50/50 chance your going to get through his procedures, which is still better than the 100% without maybe.
When it comes to hair, we believe to give you the best we can not cut corners or it’s only a matter of time before best goes to good then basic then basically no good!
We believe in providing great hair, for a set price that enables us to do it not only today but to be able to train and grow to do it not only next time but next year. Cheap hairdressing is just that and we want to be delivering quality not cheap.
So much money so little passion in building brands or companies that makes you wonder if tomorrow they will be around?
Starting anything generally comes from an idea, sometimes a random one or worst because someone said there is good money in it. Chances are most things will make money but if that is your primary focus it’s never going to happen. Having been hairdressing almost 30 years I have been told by so many during this time, forget money focus on quality and money will come. For the most part salons around the world are owned and run by hairdressers that get it, they have fire in there belly and passion to be the best.
When it comes to building a brand, you can’t just create a very functional PDF and think to yourself, cool that’s what our brand stand for and that’s what we will do. Reality is no one that is part of the brand will either believe you or give a shit, most intelligent people see your copy paste mentality it’s kind of lame!
Culture of a brand comes from the people and without passion in the culture your just another salon doing the same old thing. Value isn’t about money, brand isn’t about me too, brand building is about passion and being the best version of you possible.
Don’t get it, come see us and feel the difference up close because we are loving it?
