Social media vs Reality

Sure combined we have approx 730,000 followers combined between brand and our personal accounts on social media and it’s by no means a large number in today’s reality and increasing move onto social networks for youth in India. There are a lot of users that just aren’t into it and only post every year once maybe twice without feeling a tight chest after not having posted for a week.

What is interesting is that we all post positive images and at times some will go out of the way, even country to make the feed look good. Not many will post an ugly photo and talk about how crap the day was or how depressed they are, it doesn’t sell right!?

We have now positioned ourselves and everyone who comes after us as a base line to “life is perfect”. I have experienced everything from it’s ok for you, your life is perfect or don’t worry it wouldn’t affect you. Now whilst I can easily say it’s not, I am blessed to have the life I have and it hasn’t been easy and continues not to be. Did we work for it, hell yes! Did we plan for it and work on that plan continuously until we got what we wanted, yes and continue to do it! Haven’t reached were we want to yet but can assure you we will!

The impression of always on holidays or only positive things happening is called filtering your outflow on social media and everyone does it! Your more likely to be attracted to a feed of positive and I’m fairly sure your not searching “depressive quotes” to use as your caption, unless your an attention seeker. Now social media is fun and if you want it to be fun treat it like that, used for marketing or showcasing what you do it’s an amazing tool that without a doubt has changed the game forever.

Fun fact for everyone, no ones life is that perfect, it’s what you make of it. Sure life is bloody amazing and I feel blessed every day I wake up, beautiful house, beautiful partner, self employed, great friends and food on the table but let’s be honest. That song after a few times heard is kinda boring.

Life is hard, it will hurt, you do need to work, nothing comes easy, you will loose at some point, nothing is forever and no one cares. Let that sink in for 15 seconds stand up and work your butt off to reach your goals rather than thinking about that private jet you should be buying. Although once we get ours, trust me will be posting pictures daily just for you haters 👍🏻
