You are what you eat

I grew up with the understanding of quality in quality out when it comes to food and from a young age we were all taught about the five food groups. Yet some people still think that they can skip a few and it hardly matters, but want the best of everything and it just doesn’t work that way. I have even heard nutritionists recommending to ignore it ( please avoid myths & shortcuts unless your in the army )

When it comes to hair, skin & nails  it is the quickest way to see your true health. We all need certain natural vitamins and minerals in our diet to function and grow the way we were designed. Certain amount of sleep, water, protein, carbohydrates etc etc you can not eat shit, have a terrible sleeping pattern and go to the gym and expect it to all balance out because it won’t.
8 hours of sleep, 2 litres of water and your daily quota of each food group then you will be on the right track for healthy hair. Obviously no matter how good you are at following the above you need a trim every 6-8 weeks and using good products. Trust me the people who follow this even if it’s only at 90% have a better quality of life, there attitude is better as well as there hair.

No matter how hot you think you are, no one lives forever and eventually it will bite you in the butt.

Authentic Hair + Authentic marketing

The way we get information has dramatically changed in the last 5 years and daily it is changing at a pace none of us can keep up with, a few hours away from social media and you feel like you have missed one full season of your favourite sitcom and you cant function without catching up on your entire feed ( don’t lie you know you do! ).

I remember how marketing used to be bucket fed to the consumer when I was growing up and sadly some companies still to this day think it works. When the entire world is so connected, information on whatever you want is right here on the internet there is simply no excuse for someone buying into a “Fancy campaign “or feel good commercial without finding out the facts. I think we all know by know that celebrities endorse product’s rarely because they love them it is usually because it makes commercial sense ( There are some that do it because of they genuinely love the product ) but most do it for the money.

So with information so readily available on the net, trends able to go global in days let alone last a full season, its no wonder that we all want & let’s be honest need to cut through the crap, be it a better job, an easier way to do save money, a miracle cure for your acne or ways to style your hair. No one has the ability to put so many layers up like we used too and if you think you can trust me we can all see through it now so its become more critical to be authentic and real in everything you do.

PR & Marketing companies rely more now on the real people that have the RIGHT following ( I say right because we all know those people who may think they are A list, yet there homies are more likely to be kicked out of the local Mc donalds than actually buy your product! ) Yes its totally connected, real people, real marketing has bought back real hair that in my opinion is the hottest if its handled correctly.

Does this mean cancel all your hair appointments and let it flow? NO it means over styling is and has been out for a long time ( so for all our sake please stop it right now! ) and the more Authentic you is far more attractive than it has ever been. Its the 70’s all over again but this time with high speed Internet. Free love and Peace out 🙂

Art + Hair

So recently I have had a yearning for inspiration as creatively there are limitations when it comes to hair here in India ( lots of reasons and I’m not complaining just tends to get a little bla after a while not diving into the unknown creatively  )

Creative inspiration comes from life even tho it’s a little clichĂ©  it’s true. Art has a huge impact on me as an artist and opens up the part of the mind that helps you think outside the box. Too many of us get caught up playing follow the leader, not sure why maybe it’s easier to copy paste compared to taking the risk and doing things different. Anyway here are a few images I have on my phone that caught my eye, I think in a world full of information to stand out, less is best.

Hair is an art form as much as paint or clay.
